Our client is a modern greenhouse horticulture company, a family business in the center of the Netherlands where peppers are grown in an environmentally conscious way. 15 million bell peppers are sold worldwide every year. The bell peppers are grown in an efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly manner to produce a healthy and high-quality product. Internal processes are optimized with the aim of increasing yield per m². To achieve biological balance, natural enemies are introduced at an early stage. Product inspections take place daily during the production period.
Functieomschrijving
In the role of the cultivation man/woman, technical cultivation experience determines whether you are first assisted or whether you quickly become responsible for the 11 hectares of bell peppers. You manage the cultivation completely independently and implement the chosen cultivation strategy. This means you are responsible for the nutrition of the plants, climate control in the greenhouse and biological crop protection. Through your efforts and experience you get the most out of the crop; both in terms of production figures and the quality level of the harvested bell peppers. You are an important sparring partner for the owners. You make descions about the harvest times and how crop care is carried out and you take care of the cultivation registration.
Wat wij zoeken
- You feel confident with the bell pepper plants and find it a challenge to optimally control growth
- You have at least 5 years of experience in cultivation as a cultivation specialist, crop caretaker, cultivation employee
- Experience as a manager is a big advantage
- You have a spraying license and focus on climate control, fertilization and watering
- Experience with the climate computer and used to working with figures
- You are able to work independently with a healthy sense of responsibility; you are responsible for the cultivation on location of 11 hectares
